500 ml bottle
Pours opaque brown, tan head is pillowy and slow to dissipate.
Aroma of plum, honey, molasses, sherry, caramel, and funky acidic notes.
Flavor is molasses, plum, almond, walnut, sherry, honey, some candi sugar notes, oak, and wild tart funk.
Medium body, tingly carbonation on the tongue.
This is exceptionally pleasant to drink. Great flavor profile, super well balanced. The sweet really mellows the sour and the sour keeps the sweet from ever feeling cloying. Goes down super easy. I would love to put a few of these away and see how age treats them.

Purplish-black or dark brown depending how you look at it, Nergal has a creamy tan ring of carbonation around the glass.
This seems to have taken some unusual turns based on the description, as there are notes I can't quite pinpoint that hover between buttered popcorn and hazelnut. In addition to that, some caramel opens up within this very lightly sour ale, as notes of toasty brown malt and lightly sweet plum accent this otherwise thin, semi-wet beer.
I'm not quite sure what to think of this one--it's a rare, iffy beer for Noble Creature, but it does not deter me from the excellent work they're doing here.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
