Dark brown with clearer brown edges and a creamy tan ring.
This Mexican mole-style stout has good balance--not one thing is dominant over another. Medium roasted coffee pairs with brown sugar and cinnamon as a hint of chili pepper comes out in the swallow.
The medium body has a big frothy carbonation finishing semi-dry with a light sting.
I revisited this when they canned it for release in late December, and it's only improved since my original review. Not only that, I remarked that I actually enjoy this more than Abraxas, as there's better balance between all the elements, instead of solely being a cinnamon bomb.
