Clear dark amber to tiger eye brown with a short and level tan head.
The first time I had this it was liquid bacon.
However, revisiting in March 2021, these smoky, meaty, almost salty and full-on savory characteristics have come into better, more quaffable balance. There's still a roasted almond note to it, but a little toasty malt can be detected behind its own smoke, as well as a nice touch of corn and herb.
It's not only right on style, but at this point it's well done, so I can't abide a 3.5 score.
