Clear shimmering amber with a short but creamy white head settling to a ridged collar.
The more I sit with it, the more I enjoy it. Drinkably complex, featuring notes of toffee and amaretto, Werther's and mild toasty oak, I'm finding nothing offensive here. It leans more in the English direction, while still being unique in its own right.
The silky body has a light earthiness, but it's not wildly dusty, leafy or woody as you might imagine it'd be from the listed additions. What these components might do is add a much milder bitterness to the overall brew as opposed to the hop additions you might find in other American versions.
