Clear burnt gold to orange with a creamily thick and amazingly persistent white comforter of a head that leaves defined and uniform layers of thick lacing upon each visit to the glass. Absolutely gorgeous.
Kicking off with semi-sweet yet toasted red-ish malts, the medium silky round body's soft carbonation comes to a just dry finish exhaling a contrasting bitterness, helping me enjoy this maibock more than pretty much any other I've had, which often come across as unpleasantly sweet with a poor finish.
Maibocks have been hard for me to describe, though, and this is another one, even though I enjoy it far more. There's a touch of wheat, but lighter, with accents of peach skin, but milder, and maybe pear or corn. There's also a touch of rye or sourdough bread.
Crushable yet savory, and satisfyingly fulfilling.
