The pour is straw colored with little carbonation but I do notice some sediment. There is no date on the can. The taste is grapefruit, orange, & white cracker. The beer is quite bitter for a lager. Cheers! C

A: Pours a clear rustic yellow color. A two finger white head forms with good retention and lace left behind.
S: Orange rind and lemon. Citrus aromas dominate, with some tea like leafyness. Simple but enjoyable.
T: Just the basic amount of orange rind and citrus up front. Then cereal grains. Really light tasting here, and nothing lingers with no bitterness (seems barely any Citra hops are used). Which isn't necessarily a bad thing, and maybe the point. Though its too basic, as there are many examples of well made lagers around with much more nuance.
M/O: A light body, crisp carbonation. Clean and dry, which is nice. An easy porch drinker, especially for hot Houston summers. Something you don't have to think to much about.

I will come back to this in a heartbeat over almost anything else they make. Its a fine no frills drinking lager, which is the point. Though I think there are many better examples made locally and regionally. Still good on them for actually making a beer, instead of desert concoctions for once.
