From the 25.35 fl oz bottle in a snifter. This 5th Anniversary Boone county 10month aged
doppelbock pours a dark brown with a moderate head of khaki foam that settles to a thin
ring, light clumping layer, and sports some nice light lacing. Nose of subtle bourbon, cherry,
vanilla, and brown sugars.....muted but nice. Flavors surpass the nose with aplomb; subtle
cherry and peach mingle with brown sugars, bourbon, mild vanilla, and subtle oak with dark
raisin bread touches dashed with light herbal hops. Mouth feel is medium, low carbonation,
smooth, lightly sweet on the finish that is moderately clean and nicely balanced between
malt and hop.
Overall----a SOLID brew!
