A dry Belgian style Saison with notes of peppery spice and fruit from the use of an authentic style yeast. The palest of Pilsner malts and wheat contribute to the pale color with traditional Hallertau Mittelfruh and Czech Saaz hops providing a spicy bitter kick. A perfect beer for a sunny summer day.

Growler day after pour:
Yellow straw with a light to moderate haze. Fairly large foamy white head that leaves small popcorn bubbled lace sheets.
Nose has some hay and maybe even a hint of wheat, along with some yeast notes of barn, coriander, banana. The notes are moderate to light.
Taste starts with a little tart to earthy orchard fruit (apple/pear), then a little bite of grass/clove/white pepper. Carbonation is moderately prickly as well. A little lingering hay/grass and pepper make it through to the end. Warmth brings a little lemony citrus note as well.
A nice subtle interpretation of the style. It hit a bunch of the notes classic to the style, but I sort of wanted it to choose one and accentuate it, for some reason. Light and crisp, this is a nice enough summer beer with a hint of dry fruit and peppery feel.
