one of the better fruited gose types i have had in awhile, and frankly, its one of the better beers in the denver market right now, certainly the most unsung. its light and bright and refreshing with perfect proportionality. clear for the style, bright yellow, lighter than gold, with a foaming white head on top slowly settling back. it smells like lemons and oranges, the essence of the meyer lemon to me, zesty and really pretty robustly dosed, enhanced by the salt i can tell, even though i cant smell the salt necessarily, if that makes sense. the lacto side here is subtle, not acidic enough to cover up or break down the wheat, which i like, very clean and also enhancing of the lemon. the flavor is just like the nose, with the fresh meyer bursting forth from it, specifically meyer lemon too, a little sweeter with more of a tangerine twist worked into the sourness of the lemon, tangy and like just zested, very intense in such a light beer, almost a natural lemonade complexion. the lacto is perfectly sympathetic to that, the exact right amount of acidity, and the salt adds a brine sort of mineral complexion thats just gorgeous. this beer is like the first day of spring, its uplifting and sunny and the kind of satisfying that only can come after a long way. spry carbonation here, delicate body that still tastes like wheat, and a clean dry finish. this is impressive beer, i am surprised these guys havent gotten more attention for stuff like this...
