First in our Stave Series: Our very first foeder-aged lager!! This lager was aged in our oak foeders for over six months. Tasting notes include hints of luscious fruit with undertones of sweet, oaky vanilla and a sensationally soft mouthfeel.

Canned 10/22/21 .
Hazy gold, with one finger of very fine white head, that leaves a thin ring and surface sheeting.
Smell is light crackery malt, with a light vinous aroma.
Taste is light bread crust, a bit of floral/honeyed toasted grain, with a vague fruity flavor at finish. Light bitterness and bit of dry barrel tannin linger after finish . Light noble-hop-type spiciness.
Feel is light-medium, mostly smooth, finishing with light very, very fine carbonation bite. Slight drying effect at finish and beyond.
Overall , pleasant and easy-drinking. Comes across as almost a blonde, but lighter in flavor intensity & spiciness, and drier, that's been barrel-aged. Seems as though this might be even better on a warm summer day. The whole is better than the sum of the parts.
