This actually a coffee lager. From the Brewer's web site: " We’ve taken a classic—the American Lager—and added Slowpoke Farm small batch cold brew coffee..." Purchased in 16oz, 4 pack cans.
Pours to a darkish hazy gold/yellow. Not a typical black or dark brown color. Lacing is very minimal. Very, very slight whiff of a coffee smell. Taste is not what I was expecting. Very little coffee flavor, and no lingering coffee after taste, so the that you aren't left with much after each sip.
Mouthfeel is shallow at best, it just doesn't stay on the tongue.
Taste just misses the mark. Not a great coffee lager, nor is it a great lager. Just an average lager at best. I really like coffee stouts, ales, and lagers, when they good. So, I am really disappointed.
Overall, this is not a beer that I will purchase again. And I had high hopes too.
