Handsome dark coppery red with a modest wisp of foam in the 10 oz snifter. Woody, fruity, grainy aroma is quite inviting. Taste is warm and malty but not sweet. Just a pleasant whiff of hops above the roasted grainy backdrop. Quite a drinkable and friendly brew. I wouldn't say how it fits with the style, but it has the look and lack of foam of the true English version. On tap at the brewery tasting room. First stop from the airport.
