Thanks, Bill & Kristine!

Got this from Bill and Kristine on their recent trip to San Diego. Was told to drink this first, I believe because of the canned on date (Aug. 23, 2019). This would be my first non-imperial/pastry stout from Moksa, having the other three at festivals. Untappd description read, “T2 is one of our most popular beers in our small history as a brewery. For this batch we went a little overboard and used a total of 7.7 lbs of hops per barrel, a dosing rate we usually reserve for Triple IPAs. This massively hazy beer contains flavors of passion fruit, ripe tangerines and mango.” NOTE: Later saw that the hops were Galaxy and Citra.

Poured a golden hazy color with 4-to-5 fingers of rocky white head. Plenty of bubble streams coming up along the sides of the glass. World-class layered foamy lacing. Almost perfect retention. (Sight - 4.75)

Smelled big tropical notes, including tangerine, orange, passion fruit, mango, guava, pineapple, stone fruit, peach, apricot and floral. Even better than the can. Not sure of hops, but would guess Citra and Galaxy, maybe Idaho 7 and even Mosaic? (NOTE: Later saw on their website after a few sips that this beer had Galaxy and Citra). (Smell - 4.25)

Tasted big Citra, Galaxy, tangerine, pineapple, passion fruit, guava, mango, stone fruit, peach, apricot, floral, mixed berry and Idaho 7 (not mentioned online). (Taste - 4.25)

Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, juicy finish. (Feel - 4.50)

This was a great beer and I think I underrated it as well. World-class. (Overall - 4.50)

L: Pulpy orange yellow with glorious haze. The color is fantastic. The pour yielded 2 fingers of a dense stark white cap that retained nicely. As I drink this fine beverage, generous amounts of silky lacing coats the edge of the glass and cling to the edge in a seemingly permanent manner. Look-wise, it is great. Plus, the name and simplistic can design is a win for me.
S: Smells quite nice. Stonefruit forward with some earthy funk. Peach and apricot really stand out, with notes of lemon, lemongrass and mango. There is a slight yeasty presence to the beer, and as said before, it smells earthy.
T: Orange flavor initially with an earthy/vegetal finish. Aftertaste is strawberry, mango and bubble gum with hints of lemon and lemongrass.
F: Light in body, medium in weight. Moderate carbonation with booze well concealed. Far from smooth and creamy but does have a nice texture that I find enjoyable.
O: I initially this beer was going to be rated with 4's across the board with the exception of 'Look,' but I am really starting to like the sharp contrast the flavor profile lends. It is orange-forward at first but that earthy/gritty/vegetal finish really adds a unique experience. By far one of the best IPAs I've yet to try from Moksa. I am very glad to try. Cheers!

Sweet pineapple, citrus hoppy nose on this one! Starts to smell just like Dole pineapple juice as it warms! Taste follows exactly with a sweet pineapple, orange citrus bitterness...well-balanced between the sweetness and bitterness. It has good depth and and moderately soft mouthfeel! Good!
