Poured from a crowler filled 07/07/18
Appearance - Pours crystal clear and bright golden yellow with a white, finger width head that fizzes away rather quickly, leaving behind a mostly barren surface with a thin ring of suds encircling the edge of the glass. No lacing.
Smell - Spice, lemony citrus, fair yeasty funk.
Taste - Follows the nose. Mostly spice and funk with some lesser bright lemony notes. Fair apple-ish easters. Some wheaty malt character emerges mid-taste and becomes prominent when the spice and funk fade in the finish.
Mouthfeel - Light in body with fair, tingly carbonation. Slick, easy drinker with a crisp, dry and refreshing finish.
Overall - Damn solid saison. Well made. Great balance. It won't wow you with a dynamic flavor profile, but if someone wanted a great example of the style, you could stand to do much worse than give them this.
