No canning date (presumed around early-mid 6/2020)
Pours an opaque dirty golden orange body capped with just over two fingers of tight, soapy foam; good head retention leaves a few chunky islands of cap, moderate collar, and dense, chunky rings of lacing around the glass.
Aroma begins with dank, grassy lemon, lime zest against rubbery blueberry and tropical passionfruit; lightly candied pineapple and dank papaya accentuate a sweetness over the middle as zesty peach, melon rind, and grassy spice fade into the close.
Taste offers heavy notes of overripe pineapple with light, dank blueberry accents upfront, followed by a deeper peach syrup and apricot compote sweetness on the back end and saturated, grassy hops on the finish.
Mouthfeel brings a body slightly above medium, with moderate-light carbonation and, while progressively thinning, becomes a touch slick and briefly juicy over the mid-palate; ultimately renders a crisp finishing touch with a mild boozy burst to amplify the swallow.
While an overtly sweet hop character is present, this NEIPA as a whole is largely restrained, rarely extending far beyond its saturated, tropical leanings; basic and fairly tame for an IPA on the sweeter end of the spectrum, though ultimately inoffensive and more unremarkable than anything.
