(A) Opaque black. Sits with a dense look. Straight and firm cappuccino colored head that lasts for the entire drink.
(S) Cocoa, roasted malts, oats, some coffee.
(T) The cocoa, coffee and oats hit you right up front. The black and chocolate malts provide a good base. The hops are very subtle, just enough to make it a little bitter. Roasted malt, black malt, and chocolate malt dominate the middle to end of the taste while it combines with coffee and biscuit to finish it off and lingers in the aftertaste.
(M) Extremely smooth and medium to full body.
(O) I'm a fan of oatmeal stouts and I've seen them done wrong before. This one is very well balanced and extreme smooth. It's got great body, kind of thin and not much depth to set it apart from a lot of other great stouts out there, but it's good.

Presentation: Arrives in an Imperial pint glass. Good start, I am not a fan of the standard pint glass. Nitro pour gives the reverse cascade.
Appearance: Head settles to 3/4 inch of creamy, tan foam. The beer itself is dark and opaque, with hints of brown and red around the edges. Great ehad retention, lots of lacing and very little settling.
Smell: Nice roasted barley bitterness with hints of creamy oats.
Taste: Smooth and creamy, with barley bitterness and hints of sweet chocolate in the finish.
Mouthfeel: Average carbonation level. Body is great, nice and thick.
Drinkability: This is a great beer, rich and flavorful with great mouthfeel. I am very impressed.

This oatmeal stout was dark in color and rich in flavor. Upon first sip, the after taste of chocolate and coffee lingered which enhanced my overall like for this beer. The viscosity was thick and creamy with a smooth head. I would definately recommend this to other stout lovers.

(Served in an American pint glass)
A- This beer has the typical nitro pour and separates with a big mousse head of tan foam that sits on a jet black body. However with about 3 sips left I could see light through the remaining beer.
S- This beer has the smell of dark roasted malt blended with a fresh brewed dark roast coffee smell.
T- The taste of fresh brewed coffee is strong followed by a slight tang that doesn't taste like oatmeal but more like nitro maybe. The finish is a bitter black roasted malt that hangs on the palate nicely.
M- This beer has a medium-full mouthfeel with a watery texture.
D- The coffee flavor is nice but there are very few other flavors and not notes of oatmeal at all. It really need a more depth and character to make it interesting.

Came to me a thick creamy head that lasted dissipated a bit but lasted very nicely throughout drinking this beer. Very dark chocolatey black color. Smelled of uncooked grains and creamy dark chocolate. Taste was very creamy, hardly any tartness but plenty of mocha and roasted malts. Very grainy palate but this maid the beer very enjoyable to me. I actually started my beer drinking at emmett's with this beer. This beer didn't overpower my tastebuds with stout.

Pours dark brown almost black with a dense Nitro Head that persists as long as there is something in the glass. Diacetyl overcomes the aroma and flavors of the dark malts ( chocolate and patent. Thin-lightmedium body and almost watery mouthfeel. Expecting this to be one of the best from the tap of eight beers I found it near the bottom. No flavor complexity was evident. This is usually one of my favorite styles but not on this day.
