On tap at the West Dundee location. Reddish-brown hued ale with a creamy beige head. Smoked grain, caramel, and bread for aroma. Smoky flavor dominates the palate accompanied by caramel, toasty & nutty grain, and spicy & earthy hops. Medium body, served too cold, ample carbonation, balanced & semi-dry finish with smoked malt lingering. It's been awhile since I had a smoked bier; this is a well put together brew.

Taste: smooth, malty, woody, note of smoked meats, tangy nice mouthfeel. Smoked sausage and smoked malt nose. Copper brown, clear, tan head with some lace. Medium body, would pair well with smoked salmon. Not chewy like some other Rauch biers. 14 IBUs
