Emmett's Maibock

Served from a growler into a FFF pint glass

Pours a light translucent copper color and has minimal white head with little retention.

The nose is of wheat, grain, sweet malt, and alcohol.

The taste is much more complex. Some sweet, caramel malts start it off, followed by a crisp portion of wheat. A bit of booze lingers in the finish.

The mouthfeel is medium-bodied with a crisp, dry finish.

Overall, pretty tasty and refreshing.

(Served in a Becker)

A- This beer has a thick creamy off-white head that sits on an clear orangeish-brown body and has a gentle carbonation of tiny bubbles.

S- The smell of dry pale malt has a nose of green noble hops to balance it out.

T- The taste of dry pale malt has some flavors of toasted caramel malt and a faint hint of chocolate malt in the background. There are also some soft notes of biscuit malt in the dry malt. The finish is green noble hops that has a faint alcohol spice that boost the hops.

M- This beer has a medium mouthfeel with a soft alcohol warmth and a fizz texture that enhances the alcohol and the hops.

D- This beer has a big fresh malt taste but the hops really overpower them. The hops don't have much depth just the noble bitterness, so it would be nice to have more of the good complex malt stand out.
