22 oz Bottle 94 of 120 corked and capped with green wax. Purchased at the Pub in Downers Grove.
Murky brown in appearance with no head. Just some minimal lacing around the sides. Smells of green apples, carmel, vanilla, booze, and some harsh alcohol (solvent), but disappeared as it warmed and some rum scents came out. Tastes of carmel covered apples, pears, figs, peanuts, vanilla, brown sugar, fruit cake, and booze. Some hop bitterness shows up after each sip. Mouth feel is thin and dry. Low carbonation. Overall drinkability is okay but the alcohol was very harsh. Not much bourbon flavors, more like rum instead. I was expecting more from the barrel aging. A year or two in the cellar might do this one some good to mellow things out.
