Taste: crisp, tangy, semi sweet, a bit toothy, wheat. A aroma of a wheat field, some citrus nose. Deep gold hue, semi unfiltered, nice head and lace. Medium body. Have many years ago.

Served in a weizen glass at the brewpub.
Sixth and final part of my Pint Night Waltz through the brewpub. It pours a cloudy sunrise straw topped by a finger of dirty white foam. The nose comprises apple pie filling, orange zest, black pepper, and nutmeg. Yeah, it kinda smells good, but it's unexpected, nowhere near to-style, and slightly off-putting in the long run. The taste holds notes of wheat, mandarin orange, black pepper, cardamom, nutmeg, and green apple skin. Again, these fruity (mostly spiced apple) notes, while not altogether bad, just don't fit, and the resulting disjointedness is palpable. The body is a hefty light, with a light moderate carbonation and a kinda grainy feel. Overall, a hefe that doesn't seem to wanna be one, at least in the traditional sense. It's not horrible, but it's definitely not what a hefe probably should be.

(Served in a Weizen glass)
A- This beer has a murky deep orange body with a white thick film of head. Even though the head was not really thick it did last and last. It had lots of tiny bubbles that were visible in the narrow base of the glass but disappeared in the murk as they rose. The head left a soapy trace after each sip and then regrouped on top of the beer.
S- The spicy soft note of pale malt and hints of wheat had a very faint clove spice to it. For the most part the smell was pretty clean.
T- The smooth soft pale malt taste has a hint of clove and a dry finish that is faintly tart. There is a soft note of banana that hangs on the tongue after the sip.
M- This beer has a medium-full mouthfeel but that due to a fizz texture at the end.
D- This beer is smooth and light but it is filling like a meal in a glass. I don't think I could drink more than two before I would feel like I had just gone through the buffet line one to many times.
