Served in an imperial pint glass at the West Dundee brewpub.

Honestly, I was looking to try the schwarzbier, but, that being tapped, I went with this guy. It pours a clear brass topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises mild wheat, plenty of wet grass, and what may or may not be a twinge of Belgian yeast. The taste brings in more of the same, with the grass really coming into its own (to my chagrin), and with some banana peel showing through as well. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a sorta/kinda drying finish. Overall, I found this to be a bit of a weak excuse for a BPA, one that barely had any hint of a Belgian influence, and one that was far too grassy for its own good.

Murky pastel orange, a thin white ring around the edge of the glass, but not much of a head or lacing. Opaque with visible carbonation.

Huge estery banana aroma, very fruity... Belgian yeast in full effect.

Creamy feel, very smooth. Spicy pepper and clove that lingers, botter citrus peel. Tangerine and banana flavors, with a light grassy bitterness rounding things out. Some light sweetness with a balanced level of bitterness, it has an almost minty spruce hop flavor. Light to medium bodied, again very creamy with mellow carbonation. This is probably the best beer i've had from Emmett's, keep it up guys.
