Taste: semi sweet caramel malt, bready smooth finish, balanced hops. Same with the nose. Deep amber almost copper hue, tall tan foamy head with nice lattice on glass. Medium to med/full body. Pair well with brats. 20 IBUs

Served in an imperial pint glass at the Palatine brewpub.
March Madness and a marzen: good pairing. IU losing this game: awesome pairing. This stuff pours a clear copper topped by a finger of glowing off-white foam. The nose comprises grass, light toffee, biscuit, and light greens. The taste brings in more of the same, though with a maltier edge to the proceedings, led by notes of dried honey and graham cracker. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a dry finish. Overall, a solid marzen, nothing truly special, but good enough for me to gladly drink another. (And, yes, the Hoosiers unfortunately won...dammit...)
