Served in an imperial pint glass at the Palatine brewpub.
I didn't even know Gerry made beer... Anyway, this stuff pours a clear copper-garnet topped by a half-finger of glowing off-cream foam. The nose comprises light rye bread, maple syrup, light grass, and light earthy greens. The taste brings in more of the same, though now the rye comes across more biscuit-y, and the maple syrup is drier. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, a nice little Irish red, but one that comes off as too syrupy (smell- and taste-wise, not in terms of feel) for my tastes.
