Pours rather dark and orange with a plump finger of off-white foam.
Strong malt bill sweetness with notes of caramel and bread, there are notes of citrus but VERY muted.
Again, citrus fruit flavor but incredibly muted and hiding behind the strong malt bill.
Light-medium bodied, medium carbonation, crisp, clean, smooth.
Overall a very smooth brew but incredibly lackluster.

Served in an imperial pint glass at the Palatine brewpub.
Jumpin' on the Citra train, I see... Anyway, this stuff pours a hazy amber-brass topped by a finger of cream foam. The nose comprises grapefruit zest, light melon, a hint of leek, very light mint, and light biscuit. The taste brings in more of the same, with more grapefruit peel, a bit more leek (I hate my tastebuds...), and light honey. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a drying finish. Overall, a nice and clearly fresh IPA (I wish I tasted fresh Citra the way others do, but, as it is, I get leek-y nonsense instead of bright fruit, but at least I know when things are fresh...).
