Served in a pokal at the West Dundee brewpub.
Lucky to have not missed this bit of smokiness this time around. It pours a clear straw topped by a finger of lightly off-white foam. The nose comprises mild cornbread buttressed by a relatively mild smoke component. The taste brings in more of the same, with the smoke, now appearing mesquite-y, coming on a bit stronger, but not so strong as to be off-putting byt any stretch of the imagination. The body is a light medium, with a light moderate carbonation and a fluid feel. Overall, a very nice, highly-drinkable smoked helles lager. Good times, indeed.
