Had on tap. Broken a cardinal rule of stout sampling, I tried the barrel aged and variants first. It's all fun and games anyway, but I will do my best to be objective as I can be. The smell is like an oaty snickerdoodle, with cinnamon, oat, chocolate, sugar, little cream, and buttery malt, very nice. Taste starts this way but breaks down a little toward the end of the sip, this is the same for the feel as well with a slightly watery and cinnamon finish. A lighthearted dessert stout

Poured from a growler the day the growler was filled. Deep dark, brown-black pour. Tan head around the rim, minimal lacing. Smells of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, some sugar. I have the glass in front of my while I type, and the smell of cookies is getting very strong. Taste is much of the same -- I don't quite get the cookies in the taste, and it's not as creamy as I might hope an oatmeal or sweet stout to be. Still, it's the best thing I've had at EBC, and makes me think I'll give them another shot this spring.

I'm trying this at the brewery. It poured an opaque dark with no head and no lace. The scent had oatmeal raisin cookie notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with Little Debbie oatmeal crème pie finish. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a decent beer.
