On draught at the brewery. A reddish-orange pour with a large, foamy milk-white head and thick, soapy lacing. On the nose there is caramel and earthy grains. It's really tasty! It opens with abundant caramel and dry, earthy, nutty notes. At mid-palate there is grapefruit, lemon, and dry pine needles. The hop bill isn't advertised but it's quite bitter. It's fresh and the flavors blend seamlessly. The mouth feel is creamy with a pleasant level of carbonation, and it's really drinkable at 5.5% ABV. Overall, Harvester Red is a great Fall beer. It's packed with flavor and the citrus sets it apart from any of the leaders of the style. It's a pleasure to drink.
