On draught at the brewery. Pint pour. It pours a beautiful ruby-cola color with a half finger of ecru-colored head and lacing; a very attractive pour. Its nose features caramel malt, tobacco smoke, and nuts. The taste opens with caramel malt, along with earthy peat, nuts, and tobacco. There is only mild bitterness. It's very tasty. It's medium-bodied with a pleasant level of carbonation, and it's very easy to drink at 5.8% ABV. Overall, this is a very fine rendition of the Irish Red Ale style. They serve it at an appropriate temperature and it's a pleasure to drink. I'm looking forward to drinking it again!
