Poured from the draft into a plastic cup at Guinness; assume fresh. Golden amber with slight foam head and no lacing (likely plastic cup). Smooth tasting with subtle citrus flavors but nothing too discernable. Pleasant

Guinness Open Gate Brewery & Barrel House "Galaxy IPA"
16 fl. oz. can "PKG on 4/20/23 L3110PC001" and sampled on 12 May 2024
$15.99/4-pk at the brewery on 11 May 2023
Notes via stream of consciousness: A lightly hazy deep golden body is capped by a finger's width of white foam that holds well. The aroma is fruity with berries, passionfruit, citrus, and nectarine. The flavor follows. The grain is basic, sweet, and grainy. The fruity hop notes found in the nose all carry over, and I'm getting some mango, melon, and lychee as well. There's some subtle grassiness and resin/pine as well. It's moderately bitter, and quite accessible. What's the ABV on this? Ahhh, I see, it's just 5.5% which makes it more of a pale ale in my opinion, but whatever. I'm about halfway through it at this point and I still have a solid cap of creamy foam, and the lacing is quite good with thick sheets wrapping most of the glass. The mouth feel is good as well. It's medium bodied but on the upper end, and gently crisp and then smooth across the palate. I'd love to have more hops here, especially in the aroma, but it's pretty damned good as it is.
