16 ounce draft pour at the brewery.
A clear copper pour with a little less than one finger of off-white head. The foam is dense, has medium retention and leaves specks of lace.
The nose is somewhat bright, leading with muted citrus hops and has notes of lemon tea and some light caramel malt. The taste opens mildly sweet and malty with tea-like flavor that is cut short by lemony hops making for a dry-ish moderately bitter finish. The aftertaste is lemon zest and green/weedy hops. The lemon flavor seems to build as I drink. Mouthfeel is fairly light with medium carbonation causing a small crisp bite in the middle. Overall it leans to crisp and has a slight mouth coating astringency that brings un-sweetened lemon tea to mind.
As advertised, a tea-like Amber. It seems they achieved what they were going for, they had cans available on-site so I'm assuming they are distributing this one. OK but I will keep my tea and amber ales separate in the future.
