Guinness Open Gate Brewery & Barrel House "10° Pivo"
$7.75 on tap at the brewery on 11 May 2023

Look: Clear, deep golden colored body beneath a thumb's width of white foam.
Smell: Sweetish grain with floral, herbal, and lightly spicy hop notes.
Taste: The taste follows the aroma with an added solid bitterness that brings it to a dry conclusion.
Feel: Medium bodied and crisp.
Overall: Quite a nice version that rivals those from the source. There's a lot of flavor to it given that it's just 4.4% ABV.

16 ounce draught pour into a stemmed wine (Chardonnay-like) glass at the brewery.

A crystal clear pour, light amber with a caramel hue. The small creamy white head never quits. This is a lively beer and it continues to slowly effervesce for the duration of the glass.

A mild nose opens with a whiff of cracker malt but spicy hop aroma is the mainstay, along with a lesser fruity ester. Balanced a bit to hop with floral and citrus peel hop flavor, the mild bitterness rises at the finish with a woody aftertaste. Malt sweetness is also low. Flavor is sharp overall. Mouthfeel is light and very crisp with a small finishing bite. It has a minor mouth coating quality. An underlying light creamy feel becomes apparent later in the glass.

Everything about this beer, except the crisp feel, is subtle. It is rather balanced overall, and very drinkable.
