5 ounce draft pour into a mini pint glass at the brewery.
L: Clear copper, half inch khaki head, foam is dense and persistent.
S: Strong aroma of ripe-over ripe plum with dark malts, apple aroma later in the glass.
T: Malty but less so than expected, some bourbon but overall barrel flavor is low, raisin/prune, green apple, woody hop tang at finish.
F: Medium body, low-medium carbonation, soft and creamy, clean overall.
O: Different but good, the bourbon barrel aroma and flavor were very low, the apple character is something I haven't experienced with a Doppelbock before.
