16 oz can pours a typical blackish brown with a decent amount of medium-khaki head. Aroma isn't too strong, but notes of dark malts. Taste is pretty smooth, with some bitterness and hints of interesting flavor, but overall a very muted flavor. Chocolate and caramel notes are not very significant. Feel is smooth and fairly thin bodied, doesn't feel very viscous. This beer feels like a combination of elements from both English and American porters, but lacks what makes both great.
A decently enjoyable beer, but unremarkable. Good if you just want a dark beer, but probably not worth craft prices for what you get.

Grayish black body with a tan head. Smell and taste are the same: roasted malt, a hint of coffee, big dark chocolate, and some wet earth, but all together is a touch flat and thin compared to the greats. Feel is thin, roasted, and smooth, a solid porter.
