Draft at the source. Nose is more sweet and creamy than I’d like. Taste is much better, getting more of the nelson. Lemon lime, the nose sweetness comes through in the finish. A touch grainy on the feel.

I have no idea how I obtained this beer but it was probably something that I traded for a little over a year ago. Never had anything from Definitive before but this was from Maine and up my alley stylewise so I had to give it a go. This was a smooth beer that didn't break any new ground but wasn't quite like anything of the sort that I've had from Magnify, Tree House, or Trillium and at the end of the day, that was enough to keep me pleased throughout my session!

This had a dark and murky pour to it as there was enough head to top this off. Most of the lacing left behind was in the form of a thin collar at the top of my pint glass with the hue being a very turbid peach apricot. A bit of swirling was in the liquid with some light seeping in here and there as well. Lots of woodsy notes, white wine, grape, and floral notes that reminded me of being in a craft store. The taste was the same as all of these notes were pronounced but none were heavy enough to dominate over the others. A nicely balanced body and light carbonation was in line with this as this taste a bit like wine but never quite felt like it - or any other New England IPA that I've had, for that matter!

Not a lot of booze here as it wasn't easy to pick up in the taste or on the palate with a bit of woody spice lingering in the aftertaste once I finished this off. Canned on 12/21/18 with "YIPPIE-KI-YAY" written underneath that, I have no idea if that was a reference to "Die Hard" but for being a bit off the beaten path, this was relatively easygoing and enjoyable to drink. Seems like anything I've had that's DDH would be in this category, as this beer once again proved...
