Definitive Brewing Company

 

 

There vibe is fun and interesting but a little to industrial for my tatse with all that hard granite. They decorated the places we'll but it's the most comfortable brewery to spend a long time in.

The beer is great though and they are one of the best IPA makers into he state. Their Irish stout and timeless lager are great too.

Service differs but usually is a good bit better than the average.

Their IPA's are the main focus but they always got sours and some darks beers available too. Good selection for a IPA focused brewer.

 

 

 

In summer, plenty of outdoor seating. Inside it is a well set up bar with a large selection. Server was attentive and very willing to chat about the beers even though they were very busy. Overall industrial feel, but a wide array of people made it cool. Kid friendly with non-alcohol choices and ice cream, appeared to be dog friendly. Food truck on site. Watch out for this one - an up and coming brewery who've made great strides in a few years.

Visited in the spring of 2022 with Friends in route to camping in Acadia National Park. This brewery is amazing. Large setting area with a food truck. Their beers are amazing to say the least. Borderline world class. Service was excellent. A must go-to spot when visiting Portland. Dog friendly.

 

The only thing that puts these guys on the “map” is that they are across the street from world-class brewery Allagash, which kinda tells you something.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Great taproom. Lots of space, outdoor and indoor. Cornhole out back. Lots of parking. Nice big bar.

Lots of beer options for onsite consumption and to go in cans. Multiple pour sizes.

Lots of variety during my visit. Session, fruited, stout, BA stout, multiple PA/IPA/DIPA varieties.

A pizza trailer was out front selling food.

Service was attentive inside.

 

 

On my first visit to Portland, I hit here last, as they were open an hour later than the other 4 breweries in the Industrial Way complex. Write that down! Excellent way to market a new brewery!
Beers were really solid. I can't say there was a bad one in the bunch, and I tried all 7. Solid representations of all styles.
Service was really great. Very attentive, knowledgeable bartenders.
I look forward to seeing where Definitive takes it from here. Will surely hit here on my next trip.
