VANILLA DOME (PEACH) is the 5th addition of our Milkshake Double IPA series. Brewed with the juiciest peach pureé and Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla Beans, it tastes like golden circle upside-down cake, churned vanilla bean ice cream, and your grandma’s finest peach cobbler!

A very unusual beer!!! Looks like the Definitive Brewery has a whole series of these beers. Very little IPA qualities about this beer. Bitterness is hardly a factor and there is little citrus/tropical fruit or "dankness" that would make it a NE- IPA. That being said, it is still tasty and a beer well worth trying (maybe not with dinner as I had it). I poured it from a 16 oz. can into a pint glass. Vanilla Dome had a nice hazy bright gold color, a small fizzy/carbonated head that faded fast. There were good long-lasting rings of lacing on the glass. The most remarkable part of this beer's appearance was the sediment. I haven't seen this much floating white sediment in a beer in years!!!! Aroma and flavor really feature the peach flavor. It is apparent as soon as you pop the can open. The vanilla and lactose are more noticeable in the flavor. Hoppiniess is not really a factor here and the only bitterness apparent is a hint from the vanilla. The lactose is quite apparent in the flavor. Very un-IPA like smoothness and sweetness. This beer may not taste like an 8% IPA, but it is very tasty nevertheless. It is more like a Fruited Kettle Sour without the sourness!!!! I usually use the word crisp to describe an IPA mouthfeel, but that doesn't pertain here. This beer is somewhat sweet, thick and rich. A "milkshake" aspect in a beer from a "Milkshake Series". Not something to accompany dinner, but a flavorful stand-alone beer for slow sipping!!!!
