Poured from a 750 ml crowler.
Pours an opaque deep mahogany color with a finger of fluffy light magenta head. Very little retention and zero lacing. But for a "Milkshake" IPA this is a great look.
The aroma is kind of stupid: Blueberry muffins and blueberry pie notes dominate, followed by some mango puree and vanilla extract. Comes exactly as advertised.
The flavor is much of the same: Blueberry crumble pie, blueberry pancakes, blueberry muffins, blueberry blueberries. The blueberries taste like blueberries. There's some light mango and vanilla on the finish. Not as much mango flavor as expected. It's a literal blueberry armageddon.
The feel is... can't even describe it. Full bodied with low carbonation. It's like drinking a smoothie (or a milkshake) because you can literally chew it. Odd, but appropriate for the style.
Overall, this is a great Milkshake IPA. This style isn't quite my thing, but I can understand the draw. This one comes about exactly as advertised and if you love this style of beer, you'll definitely love this one.
