16oz can, Duvel tulip, canned 10/6/23.
Not much of a hiss when I give it the old crack, but still a finger or so of crackling dark coffee cream head. Little retention. It’s got that cola-like color.
Dry, lightly roasty, and malty sweet.
It opens with more sweetness than expected, almost a Hershey's syrup, but a more refined dark chocolate version. Medium bitterness tames almost immediately and I’m getting a real blend of hop and alcohol bitterness, the alcohol surprising at this ABV. Finish flavors are cocoa powder, coffee grounds, and booze.
Medium-light body, medium carbonation.
