Look -- Nice straw color with a white head that clings around the glass for a good while.
Smell -- Fruity West coast hops. Getting a little peach and mango, with a little grassiness on the back end.
Taste-- Very hop forward to start. Moderate bitterness, and follows the hop smell -- peach, stone fruit, a little grass, not a lot of zing for a "pilsner" (though the description indicates it's really a west coast pale ale). Ends with a light cracker maltiness.
Feel -- Crisp and light and effervescent. Just how a pilsner should be.
Overall -- "West Coast Pilsner" is a made up category but Definitive managed to make a beer that is exactly what that phrase conjured for me personally. Pretty solid beer, good for a 4 pack on the patio in the summer!
