22oz bottle purchased at Yankee Spirits, Sturbridge, MA.

Poured into an imperial pint glass, formed a 1 1/4" light beige head over the slightly cloudy golden brew. Head lasts very well, with sporadic chunky lacing. Aroma is bready and lightly citrus. Taste begins sweet, is lemony in the middle, and crispy hoppy at the close. Seems a little worty, which isn't all bad. Mouthfeel is reasonably easy, and drinkability is pretty good as well. A bit more substance than your run of the mill blonde, although I guess it doesn't matter since this one is no longer being made.

A: Clear, brilliant, golden-straw color. one finger head that quickly dissapates

S: moderate sweet malty aroma with a hint of apple

T: sweet malt that is not too overpowering. There is a distinct wheat taste that comes on after the malt. No real distinct hop taste to speak of

M: Very smooth mouthfeel with just the right amount of carbonation.

D: Overall a very pleasant, easy-drinking beer. I would definitely go out of my way to get some more of this next time I'm in Massachusetts

"She thinks my tractor is sexy." - Kenny Chesney

The latest beer in a series of I bought it because I liked the bottle.

Clear gold with a white 1 finger head. Retention is lacking though it did leave a few strands of foam while it was present.

Aroma is pineapple and floral hop with vanilla pudding. Light and summery but with enough flavor hop aroma to cast off as soley a seasonal fix.

Taste is pineapple hop and papaya. Creamy mouthfeel gives the malt a watery lemon creamsicle feel.

I'm not usually a proponent of bigger beer = better beer but John Beere has a lot of great qualities it my overall impression is that it should be...bigger.

Thanks Bobby for sharing this wonderful beverage...

A: The pour is a very pale yellow color with a finger or two worth of white head.

S: Quite light in the nose, a bit of a malt/grain sweetness and a very light hop note.

T: The flavor is similarly bland, with some light sweetness and hop flavor (citrus and floral notes). Just a hint of bitterness.

M: Fairly light in body, like most blondes seem to be. A moderate carbonation level.

D: Easy to drink, and I suppose that's the point. Not too much going on here, but unoffensive.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a mug glass.

A: The beer is a light cloudy gold color, with a large white head that fades slowly and leaves a spotty lace on the glass.

S: The aroma is of light caramelized malts, citrus, some spice and a little bit of hops.

T: The taste starts out bready with flavors of grain and a little spice, followed by mildly sweet flavors of lemon and caramel. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and a there's a decent hops presence that helps bring a good balance. The after-taste is slightly bready and slightly sweet.

M: Smooth and crisp, light-to-medium body, medium-to-high carbonation, finish is clean and dry.

D: Tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a decent lighter beer with enough substance and flavor to make it worth drinking for a long time.

22oz. bottle served at 50 degrees in my SA Perfect Pint. Poured a hazy orangish-yellow with a frothy, bright white one inch head that slowly recedes into a thin, consistent skim - no lacing. Mild nose - some light malt, a little grassy and a hint of citrus; perhaps lemon zest. Taste consistent with nose, a little grainy with a kiss of hops to add a little balance. Mouthfeel is light bodied with a lively carbonation and a fairly clean finish. A refreshing and easy drinking session beer - can't beat the price at $2.99 a bottle either.

A: Pours a very fizzy and quickly fading 2 finger head of bleached white color, over a golden wheat crystal clear color beer with gagillions of bubbles rising up in my SA pint glass, and not just from the laser etch at the bottom.

N: Pretty light, some golden ale malt aromas, a little wheat, a slight syrupy sweetness, and a very slight grassy pale hop. Also a touch of banana.

T: Starts pretty light but gets a little more flavor. Some light malts, crystal malt, banana and wheat, golden ale flavors, a little grassy pale hop character. A nice light noble hop character, perhaps a lighter but just as nice version of SA Noble Pils.

M: Lighter but not too light body and tons of carbonation.

F: A little bitter on the finish, dries off a bit. The bitterness seems to come through more on the finish but is still light. A nice malty character stands out on the finish as well. No real lingering syrupy sweet flavors either. A little fruit on the finish. Overall a pretty light but tasty beer. Very nice for a basic lightly hopped blond ale. I could drink a ton of these end on end, perhaps the definition of session beer.

The more I drink it the more I enjoy its lightness and nice noble hop character.

A: A clear straw color with a one finger white head that holds up pretty decently (maybe it's the dimple mug).

S: Smells pretty good, floral hops with grainy malts. Nice

T: Tastes like a crisp and clean golden ale. Very refreshing and very well balanced. The malts are grainy, and the hops are a bit on the citrus side. Well done.

M&D: Mouthfeel is normal, and drinkability is a 5. It's very refreshing. I could have a ton of these.

NOTE: Definitely worth having. a great session beer. Also, they are now bottling these in 22oz bombers. Pretty damn cool John Deere-esque label, I must say.
