Chin Chin!Chin Chin!
Notes: Chin Chin! is our Irish-style extra stout brewed with barley imported from Ireland. This big beautiful stout is lusciously smooth with notes of bittersweet chocolate, coffee and classic stout roast. Sláinte!

Pours a thin viscous pitch black color. Remarkably so for the style. Thin one-finger velvety head dissipates but only partially leaving a half moon of velvety mocha colored foam on top of the beer.

Aroma has notes roasted malts, bakers chocolate, burnt molasses, brown sugar, and some light bittering hops.

Taste follows the nose with roasted malts, hints of bakers chocolate, slight hints of coffee grounds, burnt molasses and a noticeable bitterness coming through on the back end. Bitterness has some piney character to it.

Feel is light to medium bodied - not nearly as thick as the beer appears to be. Moderate carbonation. Semi-dry finish.

Overall a really nice export stout - was quite impressed by this one.

Not too bad at all. I have to constantly remind myself to rate these beers based on them being a regular stout and not an imperial stout. That way I don’t expect too much complexity, depth or thickness. This one was nice, pours a nice thick black oily color with some tan head and spotty lingering clingy lacing. Smells of medium roast coffee, milk chocolate, brown sugar, toasted nuts, vanilla, caramel and malt. Taste follows the nose, good balance and richness for a stout. Smooth, slightly sticky mouthfeel with the right amount of carbonation. Enjoyable and higher ABV wasn’t detectable.
