Our first lager has arrived! A beer that is near & dear to our hearts, Tamsin Blight is a Black Lager that is hopped in the kettle & dry hopped with Centennial.
Similar to a classic German-style Schwarzbier, Tamsin Blight is incredibly flavorful with a restrained roasted character and a very crisp, clean, refreshing finish. Brewed way back in October 2018, Tamsin Blight has been lagering (cold conditioning) in one of our stainless steel tanks for the past 4 months. Soft notes of chocolate, coffee, roasted barley, and the tiniest touch of fresh pine from the Centennial hops. Tamsin Blight was designed to be an easy drinking cold weather crusher. 5% abv.
We are beyond happy with how this beer turned out. It really showcases who we are as individuals, the passion & determination we have for great beer, and the level of integrity we refuse to give up. We can't wait.

Draught pint at Wet City in Baltimore. Definitely a "black" beer w/just a faint dark brown ring. Not getting much on the nose, but in fairness that might be the fault of my seasonal allergies. A hint of roast/hops on the tongue. Nice feel in an easy drinking beer.

Poured from the tap into a mug. Pours pitch black with a tiny light brown head. Smells of dark roasted grain and slight coffee. Tastes of darker grain with strong coffee notes. Beer is light bodied and easy drinking, good carbonation. Overall, an above average beer.
