Brewed with juniper & ginger infused water with more juniper & ginger added during the boil. Fermented with Norwegian kveik, an expressive farmhouse yeast. Incredibly unique with notes of gin botanicals, ginger, caramel and light smoke from a very small amount of cherry wood smoked barley.

16 ounce can poured into a tulip.
L: Amber-caramel brown pour, one inch dirty-white head, dense foam recedes slowly leaving lace, lively pour.
S: Whiffs of corn at first pour, ginger takes over, some bread grain malt.
T: Spice forward and dry, malty but well attenuated, finishes sharp with mild orange zest and herbal bitterness
F: Light bodied and frothy, medium carbonation, moderate crisp bite,

Beautiful rusty burnt orange brew with a full creamy head. Lots of lacing and residual halo as beer opens and warms. Nose is full with complex malts and hints of smoke, juniper and raw ginger root. Taste mirrors and has a sophisticated complex flavor that brings out rye, juniper and smoke but distracting non- complementary ginger. Just not as tasty as hoped. A nicely Scandinavian brew, but the ginger just seems out of place. Seems to bring or bring out an unsavory herbal bitterness on back end. Body is refreshing with soft if still reasonably bright carbonation. A bit syrupy though as it warmed.
Overall a creative and interesting holiday brew that just comes across as over done flavor wise.
Truly appreciate the inventiveness but just can’t recommend this one.
