Deep, dark brown body; thin yet creamy light brown head. Wet coffee ground smell; faint suggestion of chocolate. Strong coffee taste; light to moderate sweet chocolate flavor lurking beneath; very bitter. Moderate to heavy mouthfeel; lightly silky; fairly sweet overall.
Coffee dominates this beer. The base beer suffers a bit because of this, as the balance and complexity seem off due to the coffee strength. It's not a bad coffee beer, but only a so-so stout.
Poured at 58 F; no canning date information noted.
