New Zealand-style Pilsner
Introducing Isostatic Rebound, the follow-up to one of our favorite pilsners, Tectonic Uplift!
Isostatic Rebound is brewed with a blend of Floor-Malted Bohemian Pilsner & Floor-Malted Bohemian Wheat Malt for an ultra crisp & slightly bready malt character. Hopped and dry hopped with Riwaka & Wai-iti for impressions of fresh lime zest and even more fresh lime zest. We're incredibly thrilled with Isostatic Rebound and can't wait for you to try it!

16oz can purchased from the fridge as a single for $4.87 plus tax. Based on Instagram, this was released on June 20 so that would mean that it's just over 5 months old.
Look: It has a medium straw color with a fluffy, meringue-light white head. Nice steady stream of carbonation with small- to medium-sized bubbles. The head was one to two fingers high, but eventually dissipated to a thin layer. The beer was clear and then gained some haze with pouring the bottom of the can.
Smell: It smells bright with citrusy aromas and there is also an earthiness with grassy notes. Peppery and green bell pepper notes on the finish. The nose is very clean and I'm not getting much in terms of malt besides a subtle crackery note.
Taste: It's very tasty, super crushable. Overall, this kind of tastes like a generic German pilsner, as it has a strong bitter finish; however, it has that unique New Zealand character with the usage of Riwaka and Wai-iti hops. Lots of minerality and a bit of sulfur character which also help to give this beer its more "traditional" German pilsner feel with a New Zealand spin.
Feel: It has a light to medium body. Fairly uneventful but also helpful because it is not getting in the way of the simple, straightforward user experience. Nicely carbonated.
Overall: While this beer is not as expressive or interesting as some other New Zealand pilsners I have had, I do enjoy this as it is very crisp, clean, and easy to drink and has a nice flavor and mouthfeel. It's tasty and very easy to drink. It would be an excellent session beer.

A: The beer is slightly hazy yellow in color and has a light to moderate amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a quarter finger high white head that quickly settled down, leaving a narrow collar around the edge of the glass and some lacing down the sides.
S: Light aromas of kumquat and stone fruit are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell but has a bit stronger flavors of kumquat and stone fruit with additional hints of lime and a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels light- to medium-bodied and clean on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The use of Riwaka hops lends some interesting and unique aromas and flavors to this pilsner.
