I am looking for a date on the can or the label but I don't see one.
Appearance: The head was oversized. As soon as the can was cracked it started to foam. Pouring it into the glass didn't help very much because it was still voracious The sparse body was tea-like in color and slightly foggy.
Aroma: Carbonic acid comes through right away. After that there is an aroma of dusty bookshelf with mildew and hints of old paper.
Taste: It tastes like old dusty malt. There is a light zesty bite but mostly it is uneventful and just dull tasting. It tastes like old cork material.
Mouthfeel: It feels dull, lifeless, wet, and unexceptionally old.
Overall: It is a bad beer that wants to be more. It tastes and smells like an old mildew-ridden rag that has been placed over a mediocre homebrew beer. I don't recommend it.

Pours a transparent rich amber, 0.5" off white head with little retention but good streaks of lacing. Nose has brown bread, raisin, molasses, noble hops, earth, and a nice metallic tang. Taste smooth, sweet malt with brown rice cakes, toffee, and caramel. Mouthfeel crisp with a a bit of body. Finish is on the dry side with some mild tannic elements, perhaps from the oak staves. Overall, a very enjoyable lager.
