Dark brown, bordering on black, with a medium off‑white head that leaves steady lacing. The aroma of roasted malt and campfire smoke. The smokiness carries into the flavor, blending with a smooth, malty backbone. A firm roasted bitterness closes things out. Overall, clean, balanced, and satisfying.

Dark Mahogany, one finger head, pretty poor retention, no lacing.
Heavily caramelized barley malt with a substantial smoky aroma and flavor.
The smoked flavor being a little sharp, brings notes of roasted beef brisket burnt ends, smoked jerky, bacon. The smoke flavor is well balanced with the hops bitterness.
Hints of dark roasted espresso coffee beans & burned dark fruit wood, toasted tree nuts.
These various flavors seem to suppress the malt sweetness considerably.
Overall, a pretty solid dry stout with an abundance of smoked malt flavor.

Look: It pours dark brown with a tan head. Head retention is very good.

Smell: Strong smoke that resembles bacon and touches of wood.

Taste: Strong bacony smoke flavors with coffee and licorice. There are hints of dark fruits in the background.

Feel: It has a medium body with the smoke lingering well into the after taste.

Overall, if you like smoke, this is a great beer but may bit a bit overpowering to those who do not like the strong smoke.

16 ounce can poured into a Willi Becher.

L: Clear cola brown, black in the glass, huge tan head, loose rocky foam is persistent, lively.
S: Cola caramel, roast, vanilla, notes of sweet hardwood smoke.
T: Subtle hard wood smoke, roasted malts, smoked malts, faint notes of vanilla, just sweet enough to check the assertive bitterness, woody bitter finish is a little green.
F: Medium-weight, medium carbonation, slight chalkiness, crisp overall becoming more soft and creamy as I drink.
O: Decent stout, smoke is subtle but good.

A Tavour Treat. Pours a dark brown color with a minimal head that disappears quickly. Aroma of a wood fire and roasted malts. Taste is slightly sweet and tangy with a good smoky flavor.
