True-to-style Baltic Porter aged in Sagamore Rye Whiskey barrels for 11 months. Fermented cold with lager yeast and cold conditioned extensively to provide the smoothest, cleanest, crispest dark beer possible. Far less roasty than American Porter/Stout.

Black color with a good‑looking beige head. The aroma brings dark chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, and a clear touch of rye whiskey. Those same notes carry into the flavor, though the alcohol comes across just a bit sharper than I’d prefer. Decent overall, but it didn’t quite live up to my expectations.

On tap at Frisco Taphouse in Gambrills, MD. Appearance is pitch black with a thin tan head. Aroma and flavor feature dark roasted malts, dark coffee, dark chocolate, bourbon, booze, and a hint of vanilla. Mouthfeel is medium-bodied and hot. Decent but not great as far as BA imperial stouts go.
