Brewed with 35% malted rye & 65% Maris Otter barley imported from England. Boiled 24 hours for intense natural wort caramelization. Aged for 15 months in freshly emptied Sagamore Rye Whiskey barrels. We smell & taste intense impressions of charred pumpernickel crust, caramelized raisin compote, cherry cordial cake, golden rum cake, and whiskey pecan pie.

16 ounce can into a snifter. Had 6/28/24.
Pours a darker copper color, clear, with no head and no lacing. Aromas of rye whiskey, caramel, malt, vanilla, some raisin. The flavors are alike: rye whiskey, vanilla, caramel, malt, raisin, some oak. Smooth, a very good medium body that’s a little lighter for the style, appropriately carbonated.
Starts and finishes with a strong barrel presence. For me, the barrels give up a ton of vanilla. Aromatic and flavorful, if a bit thin. Very good overall.

Very dark brown body, tan cap. Smells of intense rye booze and caramel, with tones of toffee, barley, and raisin. Taste is an oxidized boozy version of the nose. Feel is very warm, heavy and thick, but booze runs away with it, rye and barley attempt to anchor.

2024 release from a pint can. Fairly sweet, with a very lightly tart green apple character when consumed at room temperature. I would have guessed this was aged in a brandy barrel if the can didn't tell me about rye. Minimal rye spice, moderately light barrel oak. A delightful value.
