Look - Pours a dark brown color with a light had that disappears within seconds.
Smell - Malt, toasted bread, brandy, and honey.
Taste - Bourbon, malt, whiskey, and oak. A little heavy in my opinion on the bourbon.
Feel - The hard alcohol barrel aging is a bit strong to me. It is a 17%ABV barleywine, but I could feel it.
Overall - This is one of those beers that I tend to rate lower than others, because in my opinion the bourbon is a bit too strong. I love bourbon aging when it enhances the flavor without taking over, but I feel it took over on this one.

Very well rounded, heavy but it conceals the 17% ABV. A great sipper.
